The Nurse and Consultant were very friendly. I feel I had a thorough examination and was reassured about my condition. I was also seen on time. After weeks of coughing I was diagnosed with reflux and given 8 weeks of meds which have totally cured my nasal and coughing problems.
I have had echos done before which left me bemused and man-handled. Staff were very professional and treated me with dignity and respect. Very gently, so no after effects and a pleasure to meet – true professionals.
What a lovely team, from the helpful lady I spoke to on the phone organising it, to the receptionists who did the paperwork, to the nurses who cared for me, and to the doctor’s gentle scoping. The service was great, the facilities immaculate, everyone caring and helpful, and despite my own awful gag reflex, it seemed to be as good as gastroscopy is going to get, including the nasal approach which was less awful than the old oral approach. I also appreciated the face to face advice afterwards from the nurses caring for me and from the consultant, and importantly the written report to mull on later.
I was so impressed by the whole team that looked after me. Clearly so dedicated and caring, they managed to turn a very worrying time into a positive experience. I can’t thank them enough.
