Smartphone Booking Proves A Hit With Patients

We all lead such busy lives these days that it’s become vital to be able to do things on the go.  Our smartphones have become an indispensable part of our lives; whether it’s keeping in touch through social media, grabbing an Uber to get to that next meeting or arranging a grocery delivery on the commute home.  Hey, you can even call someone to say, ‘hi’, if you’re still a bit old-school.

So why is it still so difficult to book a medical appointment?  That’s what we thought, which is why we developed our Smartphone Booking portal.

Here’s how it works.  As soon as we receive a referral from a GP, a text message is sent to the patient from our systems. One click takes the patient to our portal, where they can choose a suitable appointment from a list of dates and locations.  Once chosen, the appointment is confirmed and added to the patient’s calendar, with an email generated with all the pre-appointment information the patients will need.  Two minutes, job done, back to the avocado salad!

Since launch earlier this summer, more than 10,000 patients have already used this 24/7 service to make their lives easier, and we’re so delighted with how popular it’s been that we’re expanding it and making it available to even more patients.  We’re determined to #makehealthcarebetter in every way we can.
